UOIT VARSITY ATHLETIC FACILITIES: Home of the Ridgebacks!

ROWING - Our UOIT Rowing Varsity Crew and base UOIT Rowing Club train out of the Durham Rowing Club Facilities in Port Perry. Just a short drive from Campus north on Simcoe Street. This includes access to the boats, storage and equipment under a partnership agreement.

TENNIS - Our UOIT Varsity Tennis teams play out of our beautiful new Campus Tennis Centre right on campus. The Six (6) clay court state-of-the-art facility is playable year round in our covered air structure bubble.

HOCKEY - Our UOIT Varsity Hockey Teams play on campus out of our Campus Ice Centre. The twin pad NHL size rinks have seating capacity of 550 (additional standing room of 200) on the main pad and 250 on pad 2. Their is also a sports bar restaurant on the second level, with views into both ice rinks.

OTHER FACILITIES:

SOCCER FIELD - Vaso¹s Field is a Championship calibre soccer field with NCAA standard lights and inground irrigation. Located next to the Tennis Centre.

GYMNASIUM - Double gymnasium with seating capacity for future varsity events of 1000. The new triple gymnasium which opened in June 2007 seats 2000 for Centre court Varsity events.

FASTBALL DIAMOND - Located right on campus and includes lights, scoreboard and press box.

In addition to being the location for Varsity Practices and Varsity Home events, the many athletic facilities on campus also house many additional University functions. SA Intramurals, convocations, clinics, speaking assemblies, classes, lab time, high school and elementary school events, shows and special events.

Additional athletic Facilities are planned in the future (including a 50m pool, football stadium, and multiple outdoor playing fields)
