UOIT Ridgebacks Men¹s Hockey Adds More Experience To Lineup

Oshawa, ON ­ The University of Ontario Institute and Technology is pleased to welcome four new recruits to the UOIT Ridgebacks varsity men¹s hockey program. The following four have been added to the 2007-08 roster: Andrew Shennan, TJ Legge, Jason Fransky, and Dustin Turner.

Shennan has five years of OHL experience. In 2001-02 he was drafted by the Barrie Colts; he has also played for the Erie Otters, the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, and the Toronto St. Mikes Majors. Legge and Fransky were teammates in 2005-06 and played for the Port Hope Predators in the Ontario Provincial Junior A League. Turner also has the Junior A experience, he played for the Seguin Bruins from 2005-2007 and was the leading scorer for the past two seasons with 42 goals and 90 points combined.

The Ridgebacks, under the guidance of veteran OUA Head Coach ­ Marlin Muylaert (bio at uoitridgebacks.com), will take to the ice on Friday, October 12th for their historic first ever OUA game. The Ridgebacks opponents in their opening game will be the Queen¹s University Golden Gaels. Puck drops 7:30pm with a gala of pre-game and post game festivities planned.
