Hunter the Ridgeback Out on the Town

havey's

It was a busy day around Oshawa on Sunday May 25, for Hunter the Ridgeback.

Early on in the day Hunter could be seen around the Durham College/UOIT Campus helping the volunteers prepare for the Provincial Spring Special Olympics, taking place at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre from May 29 to May 31.

Later in the day, Hunter was out on the town as he dropped by the Harvey’s location on Taunton Road for Free Hamburger Day.  He was there shaking hands, taking pictures and signing up members for the new 2008-09 DC/UOIT Kids Club.

It was a successful day wherever Hunter went, and you can be sure to see him out at many more events throughout the summer.

volunteeringTo take part in the DC/UOIT Kids Club, email the child’s name and birthday to scott.dennis@dc-uoit.ca.  Kids club members receive a membership card, admission to Durham Lords home games, a special birthday greeting from Hunter and Lord Durham, an invitation to a Holiday Party hosted by Hunter, plus much more.

The best part of it is that Kids Club memberships are absolutely free!!!
