UOIT WELCOMES ’07 RIDGEBACKS HOCKEY RECRUIT

Oshawa, ON – It is with great pleasure that the department of athletics and recreation welcomes Carling Jeyes to the UOIT Ridgebacks varsity women’s hockey program.

“Carling brings a depth of experience at the forward position. She had a great season with the Durham West Intermediate AA team from the PWHL (Provincial Women’s Hockey League) and we look forward to her continued strong play with the Ridgebacks” stated Head Coach Gary Pitcher.

The Ridgebacks will be playing out of the Campus Ice Centre, our brand new NHL twin pad ice arena on campus. The ice centre has capacity for 750 fans in addition to a great view of the games from Shagwell’s Restaurant which looks over both of the rinks.
