RIDGEBACKS ROWING SET FOR SECOND YEAR TAKE-OFF

Oshawa - The UOIT Ridgebacks are set to begin their second season in the water, with the best that Ontario University Athletics (OUA) has to offer.

The men's team will look to returning captains Michael Bissonnette (Forensic Sciences) and Robert de Vries (Criminology) to lead the other crew members into the 2007 water.

The Ridgebacks travel to London, Ontario to open up the OUA rowing season on September 15 at the Head Of Thames (Thames River) and then will compete in the Western University Invitational (Lake Fanshawe) on September 16 (this is a non OUA conference event).

The UOIT women‘s crew will look to Rachelle Krause (Biological Science) and Ingrid Piat (Commerce) to lead the Ridgebacks boat for this upcoming season.  The ladies will also travel to London , Ontario to open up the OUA rowing season at the same events.  The next competition for all members will be September 29 in Peterborough at the Head of Trent ( Trent Canal ).
