RIDGEBACKS WOMEN'S TENNIS HOST FIRST EVENT OF SEASON

Oshawa – The UOIT Ridgebacks women's program hosted their first event of the tennis season on September 21 at the Campus Tennis Centre.  The ladies played host to the McMaster Marauders (Hamilton) and played tough hosts, rallying hard in both the singles and doubles competition.

Dawn O'Brien (3rd Year Commerce) and Emma Waith (4th Year Nursing)  won three games in their 8-3 doubles loss, while Sandra Bower (4th Year Nursing)  lost the second set of her singles match 7-5. Overall, the ladies improved on last week's play but still were shutout losing 7-0.
