Hunter the Ridgeback Goes Up Against Toronto’s Elite
On Sunday afternoon at the Roger's Centre, Hunter the Ridgeback made a special appearance during half time of the Toronto Argonauts game against the Edmonton Eskimos in part of Kids Day!
Hunter participated in a game of football against some of Toronto’s favourite mascots including Carlton (Toronto Maple Leafs), the Raptor (Toronto Raptors), Ace (Toronto Blue Jays) and Jason (Toronto Argonauts).
Starting at running back, Hunter used his quick moves to avoid defenders and rush for a game high 27 yards.
After the game, Hunter was proud of his performance and commented to reporters, “It was such a great day at the Rogers Centre. I got to play catch with a lot my friends and it was a great game of football! WOOOOOOOF!”
Fans can see Hunter in action at UOIT Ridgebacks events. He also made an appearance at the Toronto Marlies mascot night earlier this year, where he assisted on Jason’s game winning goal!
