Ridgebacks men’s hockey team playoff bound – A UOIT first!!!

OSHAWA, Ont. - The UOIT Ridgebacks men’s hockey team clinched a playoff berth last night as York defeated Brock 6-3 in OUA conference action. The Badgers loss secured the Ridgebacks at least eighth position in the OUA Western conference standings and their first playoff berth in program history.

Ridgeback fans will get to witness men’s hockey playoff action for the first time at the Campus Ice Centre beginning next week with round one action. Although the Ridgebacks know that they are heading to the playoffs, their opponent is yet to be determined and will be decided after the final weekend of the regular season (playoff scenarios below).

Playoff tickets will be on sale at the Ridgebacks remaining regular season home games against the Western Mustangs (Friday) and Waterloo Warriors (Saturday). Puck drop for both games at the Campus Ice Centre is at 7:30 p.m.
