Montreal wins OUA Women's Tennis Championship

Women's Gold Medal Match: Montreal defeated Western 5-2

OSHAWA, Ont. – The University of Montreal women's tennis team claimed their second consecutive OUA championship on Sunday as they defeated the University of Western Mustangs 5-2 in the gold medal game.

”Our team played great the entire weekend,” said Montreal coach Samy Saad. “Western had defeated us in doubles during the regular season so we really wanted to get off to a great start in today's match. The team pulled through to win it today.”

Sunday's victory capped off a perfect year for the Carabins who went 8-0 this season enroute to their second consecutive OUA title.

Toronto won the bronze medal match earlier in the day defeating York 4-3.
