2009 Guelph Novice Challenge Results

The UOIT novice rowing crew travelled to Guelph on weekend with put in two entries in the regatta. The crew preformed well their heats, showing a lot of promise for the upcoming OUA developmental championship next weekend.

Men’s Novice 8+
The Ridgebacks finished third in their heat with a time of 6.53, 27 seconds back of the heat winner Trent University. The two heats of Novice Men's 8+ was a hotly contested event with the UOIT crew in hot competition placing in the middle of the pack.

Jr. Varsity 4+ Women.
The UOIT  crew of Tamara Partridge, Lindsey Warne, Kirstyn McCasey and Lindsay Smith did not advance out of their heat also finishing 27 seconds behind the first place boat Brock) and in third place. The team was impressive only racing in their second race of the year.
