UOIT athletics back on Rogers TV

OSHAWA, Ont. - The University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) athletic department is proud to announce that the Ridgebacks will be on Rogers TV during the 2011/12 season

“Having Rogers TV broadcast our games will bring even more excitement to our varsity sports,” said Ken Babcock, UOIT athletic director. “With their amazing game day coverage, it gives us an excellent opportunity to showcase our campus and the quality of programs we have to offer.”

This will mark the second year UOIT varsity athletics will be on Rogers TV.

Coverage will begin with the Campus Cup that will take place at Vaso's Field on Thursday, September 8 at 6 p.m. The annual event is an exhibition showcase that takes place during orientation week featuring Durham College and the UOIT Ridgebacks men's soccer teams.

The playoff and UOIT hockey schedules on Rogers TV will be released shortly.
