UOIT curlers impress in their OUA debut
THORNHILL, Ont. – UOIT had a great performance in their OUA curling debut this weekend as the University of Toronto hosted a bonspiel at the Thornhill Curling Club.
The men’s team went undefeated at the bonspiel as they went 2-0-1. The Ridgebacks picked up wins over Laurier (7-3), Toronto (5-4) and tied Waterloo (4-4).
On the women’s side, the Ridgebacks finished with an overall record of 1-2. UOIT defeated Waterloo 7-4 and loss close matches to Laurier (6-5) and the hosting Varsity Blues 8-2.
UOIT will make their OUA curling championship debut on February 16th in Guelph, Ont.
