Ridgebacks men's soccer ready for year two

OSHAWA, Ont. - The UOIT Ridgebacks men's soccer team is gearing up for year two in the OUA as their 2011 schedule has been released.

The Ridgebacks will open up the regular season at home against the Waterloo Warriors on Wednesday, September 7 at 6 p.m. Last year, the Ridgebacks defeated Brock 4-2 in their OUA regular season debut.

UOIT's home opener will be followed up with the 3rd annual Campus Cup against Durham College, which is set to take place on Thursday, September 8 at 6 p.m.

UOIT will take on the defending CIS champion York Lions twice in 2011, with the match in Oshawa slated for Sunday, October 2 at 3:15 p.m.

After an exciting inaugural season with plenty of ups and downs, head coach Vaso Vujanovic is looking forward to the challenge of building a contender in  the Ridgebacks second year of play.

The Ridgebacks will announce their 2011 recruiting class leading into training camp which is slated to begin in the middle of August.
