Ridgebacks lacrosse continues to fight hard at Laurier

WATERLOO, Ont. - The UOIT Ridgebacks women’s lacrosse team continued their full OUA season over the thanksgiving weekend with two games at Laurier. Although the Ridgebacks fought hard and played great defence, the team was unable to pick up their first win of the year.
 
In their first game of the day, UOIT was defeated by a score of 15-3 against a well established Queen’s Gaels squad.
 
The Ridgebacks would take on the hosting Laurier Golden Hawks in game two. The team played tough defence and had great transition but were unable to come up with the win as they fell by a final score of 11-4.
 
UOIT will have one more tournament at McMaster before heading into the OUA Championship, which takes place at the University of Guelph from October 21-23.
