Heinrich makes 13 saves in a Ridgebacks loss

 

OUA Men’s Soccer: Waterloo defeated UOIT 1-0

 

WATERLOO, Ont. – The UOIT Ridgebacks men’s soccer team was shutout 1-0 against the University of Waterloo over the weekend.

Ridgeback goalkeeper Mike Heinrich (Charlottetown, PEI) made 13 saves, allowing only one goal which was scored by Waterloo’s Adam Craig at the 35 minute mark of the first half.

 

Matt Craven (Oshawa, Ont.) and Justin Gordon (Pickering, Ont.) had two shots a piece for UOIT, but were unable to beat Hansel Paico-Avilez who recorded the shutout.

 

The Ridgebacks will take on the number one ranked York Lions on Wednesday, October 12 at 7 p.m.
