Deja Vu for the Ridgebacks up north

OUA Men’s Hockey: Nipissing defeated UOIT 8-4 *Exhibition Game
 
NORTH BAY, Ont. – The UOIT Ridgebacks dropped an 8-4 decision to the Nipissing Lakers on Friday night in OUA men’s hockey exhibition action.

The confines of the Memorial Gardens have not been kind to the Ridgebacks as Nipissing shutout UOIT 5-0 in the team’s only other visit to North Bay.

The lone bright spot for UOIT was former Oshawa General Kody Musselman who scored a pair of goals in the losing effort. Jesse Stoughton and Shawn Connors each scored singles for UOIT.

The Ridgebacks will look to bounce back on Saturday night as they host the Laurier Golden Hawks at the Campus Ice Centre for a 7:30 p.m. puck drop. The Golden Hawks eliminated the Ridgebacks from the OUA playoffs last year in a tight three-game series.
