Brock stuns UOIT with a last minute goal

OUA Men’s Soccer: Brock defeated UOIT 1-0
 
ST. CATHARINES, Ont. – The UOIT Ridgebacks men’s soccer team let a point slip away in the final minutes of their game against Brock University on Saturday as the Badgers pulled out a 1-0 win.

After 87 scoreless minutes of play, Brock freshman forward Ben Haggith finally broke the ice as he found the back of the net off a scramble in the Ridgebacks crease.

Michael Heirnrich had a solid game in net for UOIT allowing the single goal while making six saves. At the other end of the pitch, Ryan Toale stopped all four Ridgeback shots on target for his second shutout of the season.
 
UOIT will look to get back in the win column on Sunday as they take on McMaster in Hamilton (3:15 p.m.). The Ridgebacks next home game is on Thursday, September 29 against the Guelph Gryphons (3-2-0).
