Schofield joins the Ridgebacks with an extensive background in competitive dance as a choreographer, teacher and adjudicator.
Having been teaching tap, jazz, lyrical and contemporary classes for the past eight years, Schofield has gained the reputation as one of the up and coming leaders in dance throughout Ontario. She has developed competitive training programs for the junior, intermediate and senior levels that has seen her students go on to compete at the elite and post-secondary level.
She has earned a number of choreography awards including the prestigious Broadway Dance Center AIM Invitational New York City "Best in Show" (highest mark). She also won the choreography award at the 2011 Starcatchers competition in Richmond Hill, Ont., and the Judge's Choice Choreography award at the 2011 Bedazzled competition in Guelph, Ont.
Schofield has an extensive background as a dancer, and has studied RAD ballet, ADAPT Jazz and Tap at the advanced levels. She has trained in New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, New Jersey and Las Vegas and performed with an American touring company for three summers in Las Vegas.
