UOIT Novice & Varsity Crews
Strength and Conditioning (December to April)

Now is the opportunity for you to start at the bottom, learn how to lift free weights and other exercises that will concentrate on your physical core muscles. You will find at the end of the 24 weeks that you will be in the best physical condition ever, and the improved strengthened core muscles will allow you to do other sports. Furthermore, it will allow you to develop a regime of physical fitness that will stand you in good stead for the rest of your lives, long after you leave University.

Strength and Conditioning Season from December to April

This is mandatory practice for those wishing to row varsity the following year. Sessions will be less than during the season.

We have one of the best Strength and Conditioning Coaches around, in Coach Tom Thekan, a former champion gymnast, and gymnast coach for many years. With Tom, you will have the opportunity to work on your core conditioning, and at the same time improve your physical fitness. “Six packs anyone?”
