Women’s soccer coming to UOIT in 2012

OSHAWA, Ont. - The UOIT athletic department is proud to announce that Ridgebacks women’s soccer will be introduced at the varsity level for the 2012 OUA University season.

"We are very excited to enter OUA women’s soccer in 2012," said Ken Babcock, UOIT Athletic Director. "Women’s soccer was a natural fit to be added to our growing varsity programming at UOIT. We are looking forward to beginning another varsity sport and give the students on campus the opportunity to compete against the top players and teams from across the country."

The next step for the Ridgebacks women’s soccer program will be assembling the team's inaugural coaching staff. A national search will take place and all interested candidates will be able to find the posting on the employment tab of www.uoit.ca.

UOIT will be the 18th team to join OUA women’s soccer.
